29th Central Asian International Mining Exploration & Mining Equipment Exhibition

29th Central Asian International Mining Exploration & Mining Equipment Exhibition

A record number of exhibitors at MiningWorld Central Asia & Kazcomak & KazMet 2013

From 18 to 20 September 2013, Almaty will host the MiningWorld Central Asia exhibition, the largest event of its kind in Kazakhstan and Central Asia. It presents innovations in large and small-scale machinery and equipment and technologies for the mining industry. For the first time, MiningWorld Central Asia, Kazcomak and KazMet will feature a record number of participants: almost 400 companies from 26 countries based in four pavilions of the Atakent international exhibition centre and in the outside area.

On the same theme, the KazMet 2013 exhibition of metallurgy, metalworking and machine building and the Kazcomak exhibition of road and heavy construction and communal machinery will again take place alongside MiningWorld Central Asia.

MiningWorld Central Asia, Kazcomak and KazMet continue to follow their fundamental principles: giving the best possible reflection of industry trends, focusing on new features and innovative technologies, materials and products, maintaining its international status and improving its information component with special events and round tables.

396 on- and off-site exhibitors from 26 countries are participating in MiningWorld Central Asia, Kazcomak and KazMet in 2013. National stands are presented by four countries: Australia, Germany, Turkey and China. The main part of the exhibition consists of Kazakhstani companies, which make up 33% of the total number of exhibitors. Russia is again presented by a large number of companies (26% of the exhibition), Chinese companies occupy 15% of the exhibition, and Turkey occupies 7%.

It is worth noting that Turkey is represented by a large number of exhibitors for the first time: the national stand of Turkey includes 23 companies. Turkey has the special status of Guest Country at MiningWorld Central Asia 2013.

The business programme of the exhibiti

on includes 20 seminars and presentations, among them FLSmidth's round table. Seminar topics include innovative solutions for energy saving for industrial furnaces, efficient transportation of highly abrasive fluids in the mining industry, extracting fine materials, cost-effective mineral dressing, placer deposits, using material filtration and separation technologies, and many others.

The second day of the exhibition will include a round table on the topic of 'Technical solutions for construction of the Alagyrsk Beneficiation Plant', organised by Oriental and Tau-Ken Samruk JSC.

KazMet 2013 will present local and foreign producers and suppliers of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, advanced equipment and technologies for metallurgy, metalworking and much more. Among Kazmet 2013's exhibitions are such companies as Weber Comechanics, Virial, Jet System, PolyMet, Stanok, Ruukki RUS and others.

A record number of large-scale equipment – 82 units – will be presented at the Kazcomak 2013 open space outside the pavilions. Manufacturers will represent the following countries: Belarus, Kazakhstan, China, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Sweden, South Korea and Japan.

New developments at MiningWorld Central Asia

Macaferry will present its global experience of using technical solutions for the mining industry: reinforcement of embankments, rockfall protection of open pits and mines, waterproofing, drainage and borrow pit reclamation, reinforcement of basement and slopes of access roads, reinforcement of riverbeds, installation of treatment facilities, flyrock protection in mines and many others. Visitors will also be presented with a wide range of manufactured materials (anchors, fibres, geogrids, geo-composites, biomaterials) and their trialling results, including in mines in Kazakhstan.

Specialists from Kulan Oil, the official distributor of ExxonMobil in Kazakhstan, will present the relevance of using Mobil lubricating materials in Kazakhstan's climatic conditions. ExxonMobil's experts will reveal how their customers achieved a sixfold reduction in costs as a result of prolonged oil change intervals and increased fuel saving when using highly-effective lubricating materials for cargo transport.

Outotec has expanded its line of equipment and now offers a whole range of solutions for fine crushing, including using HPGR technology (high pressure grinding roll). This equipment will be presented at the exhibition.

Exhibitors at MiningWorld Central Asia, Kazcomak and KazMet represent 26 countries around the world: Argentina, Australia, Austria, Belarus, Belgium, the UK, Germany, India, Spain, Italy, Kazakhstan, Canada, Latvia, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Russia, the USA, Turkey, Ukraine, Finland, France, Czech Republic, Switzerland and South Korea.

Official support of the exhibitions: Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Committee of Geology and Subsoil Use under the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises of the Republic of Kazakhstan, National mining company "Tau-Ken Samruk", Kazgeologiya JSC, the Almaty Mayoral Administration and diplomatic missions of participating countries.

MiningWorld Central Asia is not the only mining and metallurgical events in the region organised by ITE and Iteca – for five years now, Astana has hosted a conference on this topic, the Astana Mining and Metallurgy international congress.

In 2014, AMM will be held in Astana from 12 to 13 June in the Palace of Independence. The next editions of MiningWorld Central Asia, Kazcomak and KazMet will be held from 17 to 19 September 2014, also in the pavilions of the Atakent exhibition centre in Almaty.
