Dear Ladies and Gentlemen!

On behalf of the Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises, I would like to welcome the exhibitors and guests of the 16th Central Asian International Exhibition of Mining Equipment, Production and Concentration of Ores and Minerals – MiningWorld Central Asia 2010 and the 3rd Kazakhstan International Exhibition of Metallurgy, Metalworking and Mechanical Engineering – KazMet 2010.

Mining and metallurgical complex play a dominant role in economy, as well as the whole real sector: this is ensuring growth of state budget and providing kazakhstani content, maintaining work places and carrying out social responsibilities. The future of the sector is now related more to processing of raw materials rather than to extraction. For resolving this issue Ministry of industry and new technologies together with Republican Association of Mining and Metallurgical Enterprises elaborated the Development Programme for mining and metallurgical sectors for the years 2010-2014, which became the part of government programme of forced industrial-innovative development. Nowadays progressive tecnology and high standards are already implemented by mining end metallurgical enterprises, and their products are becoming kazakhstani brand products on world market.

Today's exhbitions provide companies with a good opportunity to buy the most innovative technologies and equipment which will guaranty high productive, qualitative and emergency free work, share their experience and build up new relationships with potential business partners

I am sure that the exhibitions, as well as their workshops and roundtables, will enable Kazakhstan and foreign specialists to discuss pressing issues, and make a significant contribution to provide good conditions for further development of this industry.

With all my heart, I wish the exhibitors and guests to enjoy a constructive work, have interesting and useful meetings, and success in their business!

N.V. Radostovets

Executive Director,
Association of Mining and Smelting Enterprises,
Republic of Kazakhstan

Dear Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan, I would like to welcome you on the occasion of the opening of a number of exhibitions covering recent achievements in mining, metallurgy and machine-building.

At one time, these industries formed the basis of global industrial development, and laid the foundations of technical and social progress, the fruits of which we are now reaping. However, in the post-industrial era, they have not lost their importance as engines of economic development. It is not without reason that they have been given so much attention in the programme of accelerated innovative and industrial development being implemented in Kazakhstan.

The exhibitors, which include many Russian companies, will present modern and innovative equipment for mining, processing ores and metals, and industrial and residential construction. Its use in Kazakhstan will, we hope, serve to develop the country’s industrial potential, improving the quality of life of the Kazakh people.

The foundations of partnership and cooperation which are laid at such important events will, undoubtedly, serve to further strengthen mutually beneficial ties between Russian and Kazakhstani companies.

I wish all the exhibitors and visitors of these events success in finding reliable partners, achieving their goals and developing their businesses.

V. Verzhbitsky

Director
Office of the Trade Representation of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Kazakhstan in Almaty
